In 2021, we at Info-Matrix Corporation will be celebrating our 25th anniversary. What began as a small startup business has grown into a successful, thriving company with a team of over 100 experts and professionals. Info-Matrix Corporation was founded in April 1996 by Joe Gondek, who has been in the technology industry since 1973.
Joe has always had a passion for technology as well as a natural skill for entrepreneurship. He established 3 other companies before Info-Matrix Corporation: Stasis Engineering, CR Laboratories, and HiTech Engineering. These companies worked on some fascinating projects, including a 16 bit data storage chip so small that it fit inside of a key. HiTech Engineering participated in an episode of 60 Minutes, where it provided a device that was used to demonstrate how the government was testing individuals for certain paranormal traits. Joe then started Info-Matrix Corporation, building his company upon a strong foundation of leadership. He truly embraced the motto of “My employees don’t work for me; I work for them”: he initially made sacrifices for his employees, going for a whole year without a paycheck to pay his employees and investing every dime he had in his company. Sacrifices turned to profit every year, and the company doubled in size and success. Joe recognized that his business would continue to climb the ladder of success, and he gives all the credit to his employees.
The projects at Info-Matrix started out small, and Joe quickly brought on a small team of core employees; some of the first people included Paul Schaeffer, Jeff Fisher, Penny Fisher, Devarajan Gopal, Ken White, Jim Collins, and Jude Bastiampallai. Many folks from this initial team continued to work for Info-Matrix for years, including Penny Fisher, who has been with us for 24 out of our 25 years!
In 2011, Brenda Ritter became the President and CEO of the company and has taken the industry by storm. With more than 30 years of IT management experience, Brenda takes a hands-on approach to leadership, working with the team to ensure exceptional quality and delivery for our customers. Since she joined, Brenda has led the company to be on Central Penn Business Journal’s list of Top 50 Fastest Growing Companies for 2 years in a row in 2019 and 2020, and she was also named among the Women2Watch by the Women Presidents’ Organization.
Throughout the years, the Info-Matrix team has worked on some very impressive projects such as:
Assisting the Texas Department of Health & Human Services with a Y2K overhaul
Developing an award-winning website for OCYF in the Department of Public Welfare
Completing a Digital Transformation initiative for the PA Game Commission
Developing and managing a comprehensive child welfare solution for the Counties in Pennsylvania to improve outcomes for children.
Modernizing the COSTARS solution for the Department of General Services
Establishing a Business Intelligence practice for data based decision making
Countless other clients with our project management and developer professionals
The past 25 years in technology has seen a lot of change, and thanks to our dedicated consultants, Info-Matrix has evolved with the industry. We employ some of the most talented people in their field who will surely continue to accomplish great things for our clients. Looking forward, our commitment to excellence for both our clients and our consultants will be unwavering as it is the foundation of who we are. As we launch our year of 25th Anniversary celebrations, we THANK our consultants for their dedication and professionalism to their craft. We also thank our customers and our business partners for trusting us to resolve your business needs and for the long-term relationships.
