“As one of the Trustees for our Sikh Society of Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, I have the honor and responsibility of serving the Sangat (congregation) and upholding the core principles of Sikhism—Seva (selfless service), Simran (remembrance of Waheguru – The Almighty), and Sarbat da Bhala (welfare of across different cultures and communities). My role bridges spiritual service with administrative leadership to ensure the Gurudwara operates in alignment with Sikh values and the teachings of our Holy book – Guru Granth Sahib Ji.
I collaborate with fellow Trustees and management teams to oversee day-to-day operations of Gurudwara (Temple). Deeply involved in community outreach efforts such providing real time glimpse to High School Students learning world history on Sikhism. Additionally, I assist my wife Gurmeet in providing educational classes, and youth engagement. I also volunteer for Cumberland Valley High School on their annual cultural appreciation day.
Being a Trustee is more than a title—it is an ongoing commitment to serve humbly, preserve Sikh traditions, and support a welcoming environment where the community can grow spiritually and collectively.”
